The More I Pushed, The More I Blocked

I needed the money. I wanted the clients. I was desperate for it to happen now.

I needed the money. I wanted the clients. I was desperate for it to happen now.

But beneath it all? Shame. Mom guilt. Fear. Anxiety.

I was gripping so tight, trying to control everything—yet all I did was block it twice over. The harder I pushed, the more stuck I became.

I see it so clearly now: manifestation isn’t just about wanting something—it’s about allowing it in. And I wasn’t allowing anything.

The Energy of Desperation Creates Resistance

We’ve all been there—watching others succeed, feeling like we’re doing all the things but still stuck in the same place. I was following the steps, setting goals, even repeating affirmations, but underneath, my energy was frantic.

I wanted success so badly that I was actually repelling it. The energy of desperation, scarcity, and fear sends a clear message to the universe:

❌ I don’t trust this process.

❌ I don’t believe I’m supported.

❌ I think I have to force it.

And as Denise Duffield-Thomas says in Get Rich, Lucky Bitch!:

“Your fear and anxiety are like energetic repellents to the things you want. When you have faith that money is coming, it flows in easier ways than you ever imagined.”

I was repelling the very abundance I was trying to attract. My subconscious was filled with doubt and lack, and no amount of action could override that energy.

The Turning Point: Surrendering & Trusting the Flow

The shift happened when I finally let go. I stopped forcing. I stopped obsessively checking my phone, worrying about when the next client would come in, or if I was doing enough.

Instead, I leaned into trust. I reminded myself:

✅ The universe is always working in my favor.

✅ What’s meant for me cannot miss me.

✅ I can take inspired action and still trust the timing.

And once I made that shift? The doors started opening. Clients started reaching out. Ideas flowed freely. Abundance found me.

Because here’s the truth: when you release the fear, you make space for the magic. 💫

Manifestation Requires Both Action & Alignment

Let’s be clear—letting go doesn’t mean sitting back and doing nothing. It means:

🔹 Taking aligned action from a place of trust, not fear.

🔹 Releasing attachment to the how and when.

🔹 Making peace with where you are right now.

It also means recognizing that sometimes, the season you’re in isn’t the season for rapid growth.

If you’re a mom with young kids, juggling a full-time job, or dealing with personal struggles, pushing harder won’t get you there faster—it will only burn you out. Sometimes, the best move you can make is slowing down, planting seeds, and allowing things to unfold in divine timing.

If you need to take a job to support your family while building your dream on the side, that’s okay. It’s not a failure—it’s a stepping stone.

How to Shift from Force to Flow

If you feel like you’re stuck in a cycle of forcing and pushing, here are some steps to shift your energy:

1️⃣ Get honest about your mindset. Are you approaching your goals from a place of fear, desperation, or lack? If so, it’s time to recalibrate.

2️⃣ Shift your focus from needing to allowing. Instead of obsessing over when and how things will happen, focus on what you can do today with trust and confidence.

3️⃣ Detach from the outcome. This doesn’t mean you don’t care—it means you trust that the right opportunities, clients, and money will come in the right time.

4️⃣ Practice daily surrender. Meditation, journaling, and affirmations can help rewire your subconscious mind to embrace trust instead of fear.

5️⃣ Recognize that slow progress is still progress. Just because you’re not where you want to be yet doesn’t mean you won’t get there.

Let Go & Let It Flow

If you feel like you’re forcing something right now—whether it’s money, success, clients, or opportunities—ask yourself:

👉 Am I approaching this with trust or fear?

👉 Am I making decisions from alignment or desperation?

👉 How can I let go and trust the process more?

Surrendering doesn’t mean giving up—it means releasing the tight grip of fear and trusting that your efforts will pay off.

What’s meant for you is already on its way.
